Flipowanie® - Gabrysia Borowczyk's Pastels Set

During Flipowanie® workshops I often hear the question: What markers to buy? What else will come in handy? What colors? How to live?! :-D

Based on the experience in visual work with a flipchart and graphic facilitation, after conducting several hundred Flipowanie® workshops and training about 10,000 participants - I thought to myself: OK, I can now recommend something. So here are my sets suggestions, subjective choices. I do not hide that I prefer those colors over any other and thick BigOne markers. For me, they work best on flipcharts.

MARKER NIB - IMPORTANT THING: Neuland® offers many marker nibs:

• No.One – basic, wedge nib with a thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 cm (depending on how you hold the marker)
• Big.One – thick, wedge nib ideal for color filling and shading, from 0.5 to 1 cm
• ArtMarker – brush nib (in my opinion, it is more useful to work with smaller formats rather than a flipchart)
• Fine.One – thin brush nib (certainly for working on smaller formats, for graphic notes, bullet journals, etc.)
• WhiteboardMarker – for whiteboards
• etc.

I use Big.One and No.One markers most often. Plus PanPastels®. :)

The sets are structured like modules so that they complement each other. The "full-rich" and "no matter-how much-it-costs" versions are all 4 sets; and if you have two of the same Outliners this way, believe me - they will be useful anyway. I have several Outliners during my training. Black is the basis.

And here's MY ADVICE:
First, we write and draw in black and then add colors and shadows. The inscriptions and contours of the drawings will be more visible and clearer on a flipchart.

SET 3 – PanPastel®

I can't imagine flipping anymore without the pastels that I use for filling backgrounds or shapes and for shading. :)

This set is a proposition for a start - basic, selected from the manufacturer's rich offer and proven colors, matched to the colors of Neuland® markers, so that you can create monochromatic flipcharts. Here's an example:

The set includes:

• 6 basic PanPastels® in basic colors:

- 580.5 – goes well with blue color Neuland® 301
- 220.5 – goes well with 501
- 250.5 – goes well with 500
- 280.5 – goes well with 600
- 840.7 – lighter gray, does not match perfectly with 101 - but well, you can't have everything!
- 675.5 – light green

• 2 sets of sponges for them - you apply pastels on a flipchart with their help.
• 1 Faber-Castell® bread eraser - one of a kind, sensational eraser for erasing pastels or pencil sketches. In addition, it has anti-stress properties - it can be kneaded, crushed and squeezed, so you will relieve any stress on it :)

An additional advantage of the set is the original, elegant box - it not only protects the materials from damage or loss, but also holds your own essentials such as various markers or pastels - at your discretion :)
